Clouds, rain and fog tonight with warmer temperatures Tuesday!

Monday, January 8, 2018 –

Good Evening.  We will keep cloudy skies and a chance of light rain in the forecast for tonight.  There could be a few pockets of freezing rain and sleet through the early evening.

This satellite imagery shows the clouds which will linger tonight into Tuesday.

We had a contrast in temperatures this morning.  Here are some of the low temperatures recorded across the region this morning.

The jetstream will bring warmer air to the region by the middle and end of the week.

If you are tired of the cold air, hang in there.  Temperatures will warm through the rest of the week.

We will keep the chance of rain with warming temperatures overnight.  There could be a few pockets of freezing rain over the mountain locations.

8 PM Tonight – Temperatures will slowly rise overnight.  

Midnight Tonight – We keep clouds in the area with fog and some drizzle.

8 AM Tuesday – Cloudy skies will prevail with areas of fog.

Noon Tuesday – Cloudy skies are forecast for the region with warmer temperatures.

5 PM Tuesday – We keep the clouds with warmer temperatures.

11 PM Tuesday – Even though we have high pressure over us, we will keep the clouds in place.

8 AM Wednesday – We will wake to cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 30’s.

Noon Wednesday – Cloudy skies are forecast for the region with temperatures in the 50’s.

Wednesday evening – We maintain cloudy skies with temperatures in the 50’s.

7 AM Thursday – The mild weather continues with temperatures in the low to middle 40’s.

5 PM Thursday – Our next weather maker will bring a chance of rain to the area.

Thursday night – We keep the clouds and rain in the area.

8 AM Friday – We start the day mild with colder air late Friday into Saturday.

Enjoy the warmth!  Colder temperatures and a chance of snow are back in the forecast for Saturday.
