Wednesday, November 15, 2017 –

Good Evening – We had a mild afternoon.  Here is a look at the climate date for the Tri-Cities Airport.

Take a look at this satellite imagery from NOAA.  You can see the storm system that brings clouds and rain to the area tonight.

We keep the threat of showers in the area tonight into early tomorrow morning.

8 PM Tonight – Scattered showers possible

6 AM Thursday – We keep scattered showers early in the morning followed by afternoon sunshine.

11 AM Thursday  Sunny skies return with breezy conditions in the mountains.

4 PM Thursday – Sunny skies will dominate the area with temperatures in the 50’s across the Tri-Cities.

6 PM Thursday – Clear skies with chilly temperatures.

HIgh pressure will build into the area Thursday night bringing clear skies and chilly temperatures.

Sunshine and mild temperatures are forecast for Friday.

Noon Friday – Sunny with high temperatures in the 50’s.

5 PM Friday – The ridge of high pressure will move east which will allow for a stronger system to move into the area from the west on Saturday.

Midnight Friday – Clouds will stream into the area and the winds will begin to pick up.

8 AM Saturday – Clouds and wind will prevail with wind gusts over 30 mph possible

Noon Saturday – Clouds, rain and wind will be likely across the area.  There could be a few storms in the affernoon as the cold front moves east.

As the cold front moves through the Ohio Valley and the Tennessee Valley Friday there could be some strong to severe thunderstorms. It looks like the main threat of severe weather would be damaging winds.

Strong gusty winds will be possible ahead of and behind the front.

Take a sneak peak at Thanksgiving!  Temperatures could be turning cold again.

If we still have good visibility and little cloud cover this Friday night,  you might be able to view the Leonid Meteor Shower.

It looks like the clouds will be just off to our west.

Here is a look at the Storm Team 7-Day Forecast.

Have a great night!
