Tuesday, November 7, 2017 –
Good Evening. As predicted yesterday, we had the showers and some locally heavy rainfall across the region this morning. Despite the rain, temperatures managed to climb to 70 with some breaks in the clouds this afternoon. The climate data for our station today: High 71, Low: 60 with .46″ of rain.
We keep the threat of showers tonight and again on Wednesday. The good news, rain chances will decrease on Thursday as we dry out late in the day.
Temperatures will be cooler tomorrow.with highs in the lower 50’s.
Look for a some cold air Friday night into Saturday morning. These are the forecast morning lows for the next four days.
We keep showers through early Thursday.
Midnight Tonight – Mostly cloudy with areas of fog and spotty showers.
8 AM Wednesday – Clouds continue with spotty rain showers. Temperatures will be cooler.
Noon Wednesday – Skies will be cloudy with a few scattered showers,
5 PM Wednesday – We keep the clouds across much of the area with clearing across parts of southeast Kentucky.
8 PM Wednesday – Clouds and fog linger across the region,
8 AM Thursday – The front finally moves to our south which will allow for some sunshine.
Noon Thursday – Sunny skies are forecast for the area with high temperatures in the 50’s.
5 PM Thursday – We will see a weak cold front coming in from the northwest. This could bring a few showers and clouds as it passes over the area.
8 AM Friday – Finally! Sunny skies will prevail as high pressure builds across the area.
Noon Friday – We stay sunny and mild.
5 PM Friday – High pressure will stay with us through Saturday which will bring sunshine and dry air.
How about the tropics? Yes, it is November and this is Tropical Storm Rina. This is the 17th name storm of the season.

The 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season comes to an end on November 30th.
Temperatures will stay mild through the weekend.
