Good Evening. Cloudy skies and scattered showers prevailed across the area today as a front tried to move through the area. We will keep the chance of scattered showers through Saturday evening.
This satellite imagery from College of DuPage clearly shows the clouds in association with the front. You can also see a little counter-clockwise spin across east Tennessee. This helps to produce showers from Knoxville to Chattanooga this afternoon.
The front that moved into the area today will retreat north late Saturday as the warm air wins out. That is why we have a chance of rain Saturday.
8 PM Tonight – Cloudy skies with scattered showers.
