Good afternoon. It has been another hot day in the Tri-Cities.
We will see fair skies tonight. There have been a few storms off to our west this afternoon. Take a look at this GOES 16 Visible Satellite Imagery from College of DuPage.
We continue to monitor a front to our northwest which is current producing showers and storms. This front moves into our area late Thursday into Friday. Take a look at the explosive thunderstorm development across parts of southern Wisconsin Iowa and Illinois!!
We stay warm again on Thursday with an increase in showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening.
A front will move towards the area Thursday afternoon into Friday. This will bring an increase in showers and thunderstorms to the region. There will be a potential for some strong to severe thunderstorms. The biggest threat would be for damaging winds, hail and heavy rainfall. Take a look at the Storm Team 11 Forecast Maps.
7 AM Thursday – Partly cloudy and muggy.
Noon Thursday – Partly cloudy skies with a few showers possible.
3 PM Thursday – Partly cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible. Some storms could be strong.
5 PM Thursday – Scattered showers and storms. Some could be strong to severe with the potential for damaging winds and heavy rainfall.
There could be a few strong to severe thunderstorms Thursday.
We will see an increase in showers and thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday as a cold front moves into the area. There could be some severe storms on Friday with the potential for damaging winds, hail and heavy rainfall along with the possibility for an isolated tornado the the Slight Risk area in yellow on Friday.
One batch of showers and storms moves across the region Thursday afternoon into the early evening hours.
9 AM Friday – We watch the cold front moving in from the west. This will increase the chance of showers and storms for Friday
1 PM Friday – Showers and storms will be possible. There could be some strong to severe storms across the area.
7 PM Friday – We keep the chance of showers and thunderstorms across the area.
The front moves through the area late Friday night into early Saturday.
2 PM Saturday afternoon – Sunny skies and cooler temperatures.
7 PM Saturday – Beautiful weather will prevail through the afternoon and evening!
