Good afternoon. It certainly has been a beautiful afternoon. We had high pressure dominate the area today which brought sunny skies and warm temperatures to the region.
Take a look at this satellite from NOAA today. You can see the clouds across the Mississippi Valley today. That is where a cold front is located at. That front moves east and will bring scattered showers and storms to our area tomorrow.
Temperatures stay warm through the weekend.
Here is a look at the Storm Team Forecast maps for tonight through Thursday.
8 PM Tonight -Fair skies and mild tonight
8 AM Thursday – Showers and storms to our west as a cold front moves into the region.
5 PM Thursday – Scattered showers and storms will be possible.
There could be a few strong storms across the area Thursday. The biggest potential threat would be for gusty winds and some small hail.
Here is a look at the rainfall potential for Thursday.
We will keep a chance of scattered showers and storms into the weekend with warm temperatures. We will see a better chance of showers and storms on Monday.
8 PM Thursday – The cold front moves east of our area.
8 AM Friday – Another system will increase rain chances to our west. We could see a few pop-up storms.
8 PM Friday – There will be a threat for severe weather well to our west Friday afternoon and night as low pressure moves off to the northeast into the Ohio Valley.
There could be some strong to severe storms well to our west Friday and Friday night.
Noon Saturday – A cold front tries to lay down across the Tennessee Valley. This front will stall and move north as a warm front.
3 Pm Sunday – The warm front lifts north. We could see a few storms, but the main bulk of showers and storms stays well west and north of the area.
