Beautiful Shelf Clouds – Storms remain in the forecast

Monday, July 20, 2015 – Good evening everyone.  We certainly had another hot day in the Tri-Cities with an afternoon high of 90 degrees.  That was after a very muggy low of 70 this morning.  The Airport officially recorded .27″ of an inch of rain while the station recorded .44″ of an inch of rain. The thunderstorms that formed across the area this afternoon climbed to heights of close to 50,000 feet into the atmosphere.  This is a look at Storm Team 11 Vipir Radar at 6:15 PM.  Notice the storms across Greeneville and Greene County Tennessee.  We also captured…
