HCSO finds missing 2-year-old boy

HAWKINS COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Deputies with the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office found a missing 2-year-old boy not far from his home Wednesday morning, according to Sheriff Ronnie Lawson.

The sheriff tells us the boy “is ok.”

Officers responded to Phillips Town Road to search for the child.

The following is a statement from the HCSO:

At 8:40 am on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a two-year-old, male child missing from Phillips Town Road.  Officers, fire and rescue arrived on scene and conducted a search.  The child was located approximately 50 yards from the house.  He appears to be in good condition but is being transported to the hospital for further evaluation.  The investigation is ongoing and NO other information is available at this time.
