Gov. Haslam: State hit lowest unemployment rate in Tennessee’s history

(WJHL) – Gov. Bill Haslam announced Thursday that Tennessee set their lowest unemployment rate in the state’s recorded history.

The Department of Labor and Workforce Development said June’s unemployment rate was 3.6 percent.

That number surpassed the previous record of 3.7 percent recorded in March of 2000.
