ETSU issues safety notice after attempted robbery report

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – The East Tennessee State University’s police unit issued a safety notice to students on Tuesday due to a report of an attempted robbery.

According to campus police, a student reported that four males wearing dark clothing and covering over their faces demanded money from him in parking lot number 5.

The victim told police, the suspects ran away without taking anything from him and he was not injured in the incident.

The suspects were said to be wearing all dark clothing, hoodie sweatshirts, with bandannas on their faces. They were described as ranging in height from 5’8” to 6’1”.

Three of the males were described as being medium built, while one the men was described as a having a heavier built.
