TSSAA: Unaka High football ineligible to participate in playoffs for 2 years after forfeit

(WJHL) – The governing body for Tennessee high school athletics ruled Unaka High School ineligible to participate in any football playoff series for the next two years.

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association appealed a ruling against Unaka’s basketball program that banned the team from participating in post-season tournaments due to the football team forfeiting a playoff game against Greenback High School earlier this month.

(And) 2. The Unaka High School boys’ basketball program has been reinstated and is eligible to participate in the post-season tournament series.”
