WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Greene County woman accused of statutory rape.

According to a WCSO news release, Brandi Ann Peltier, 27, of Chuckey, Tenn., was arrested Friday afternoon following indictment by a Washington County grand jury.

The indictment followed an investigation into inappropriate sexual conduct between Peltier and a male juvenile, which reportedly happened while Peltier was employed at SteppenStone Youth Treatment Center in Limestone, Tenn.

According to the release, SteppenStone is a rehabilitation facility that specializes in the treatment of adolescent teenage males with emotional and behavior problems.

An investigation was conducted by the WCSO Criminal Investigation Division, which revealed Peltier had sex with a 17-year-old male resident at the facility back in August.

Peltier was charged with one count of statutory rape and was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where she was being held on $5,000 bond.

She was scheduled for arraignment in Criminal Court on Jan. 27 at 9 a.m.
