KINGSPORT, TN – Eastman’s Supplies for Soldiers program is in full swing and team members across the United States are gathering donations.
Supplies for Soldiers is a program dedicated to sending some of the comforts of home in the form of donations to soldiers currently deployed overseas, including practical items, hygiene items, books, magazines, snacks, pillows, games, and more.
“Eastman has always been a strong supporter of the military and this program is one way that we can all get involved and make a positive difference for those defending our freedom,” said CeeGee McCord, director of Global Public and Community Affairs at Eastman. “It’s a small act, but it means the world to our soldiers that are away from their families and away from home during the holiday season.”
The local community is invited to donate items at two convenient locations through December 5 – Eastman’s Toy F. Reid Employee Center and Downtown Kingsport at a storefront on Broad Street.
Monetary donations are also appreciated and can be made online by visiting responsibility.eastman.com/S4S. All monetary donations will be used to purchase additional supplies.
For more information, visit the Supplies for Soldiers page on Eastman’s Corporate Responsibility website or call Angela McCamy at 423-229-6407.

About Supplies for Soldiers
Eastman’s Supplies for Soldiers is a program that delivers some of the comforts of home to United States service men and women who are deployed overseas during the holidays. The program originated in 2009 with one Eastman team member supporting her deployed husband in Afghanistan, and grew into a corporate-wide initiative by 2012 thanks to the support and strong passion Eastman team members have for our deployed troops. Since 2012, Eastman team members have sent more than 1,800 boxes of supplies to deployed U.S. soldiers.
