MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Nov. 11, 2016) – The Milligan College men’s basketball team faced one of its biggest challenges of the season on Friday night when it traveled to Middle Tennessee State, a NCAA Division I opponent, for an exhibition game. The young Buffalo squad experienced high level competition first hand and fell 102-64.

Milligan (2-2, 0-0 AAC) trailed 4-10 early and never got within six points of the Blue Raiders again. The Buffs trailed 51-29 at the half.

The second set told more of the same story and the Buffs surrendered 51 more points and scored 35.

Sophomore Will Buckner led Milligan with 10 points and was the only Buffalo to reach double digits. Bo Pless scored eight points including two three-pointers. Tyler Nichols and Aaron Levarity followed with seven points each.

The Buffaloes return to action with their Appalachian Athletic Conference opener next Wednesday. Milligan hosts Tennessee Wesleyan with tipoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. after the women’s game.
