Trial for former Vanderbilt football player set for June 2017

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – A June trial date has been set for the third of four former Vanderbilt football players charged in the rape of an unconscious female student.

The trial for Brandon Banks was set for June 19 during a Thursday hearing in Davidson County Criminal Court.

He has pleaded not guilty to five counts of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.
