GREENE COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – A $2.3 million road project 20 years in the making will open in just a matter of days.
Crews are almost complete with the third and final phase of the Fairgrounds Connector Roads Project in Greene County.
All that’s left is installing a small section of guardrail.
The road goes from Snapps Ferry Road to Rufe Taylor Road.
Greeneville city leaders said the point of the project is to reduce some traffic on 11-E and open up real estate for development.
A ribbon cutting for the opening and dedication to the Fairgrounds Connector Roads Project will be held on Friday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.
