SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN (WJHL)- If you live in Sullivan County here is a list of local contested races you will find on your ballot, these races will vary depending where you live in the county.

U.S. House – Tennessee District 1

Dr. Phil Roe is the incumbent seeking his 5th term in Congress. He is a physician from Johnson City. According to Alan Bohms’ campaign website, Bohms lives in Mohawk, TN and is the Executive Director of the Volunteer Firefighter Alliance.

TN House – District 2 – Represents parts of Sullivan County

  • (R) Bud Hulsey – incumbent
  • (D) J.S. Moore

Incumbent Republican Bud Hulsey is running for a second term as state representative. He is from Kingsport and was first elected in 2014. Click here to read the  story we did profiling the two candidates.

TN House – District 3 – represents parts of Sullivan County, parts of Carter County, and Johnson County

  • (R) Timothy Hill – incumbent
  • (I) Gary Kawula

Johnson City School Board

Sullivan County voters who live in Johnson City will vote to elect three of these candidates.

  • Tim Belisle – current chair – incumbent
  • Jonathan Kinnick
  • Ronald E. Scott
  • Bill Smith
  • Stacie Kilday Torbett

Johnson City Commission

Sullivan County voters who live in Johnson City will vote to elect three of these candidates.

  • Todd Fowler
  • William (Bud) Hill, Jr.
  • Clayton Stout – incumbent – current mayor
  • Ralph Jay Van Brocklin – incumbent
  • Joe Wise
