Your Weekly Constitutional: Voting, Voters and Political Knowledge

Your Weekly Const.

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL)- We hope that you vote this week. But we really hope that you cast an informed vote – a vote based upon real understanding of the facts and issues.

Is such a hope realistic? Do most people cast informed votes? Or not? We’ll talk with Political Science Professor Anderson Starling of the University of Tennessee at Martin about his research into political knowledge – how much of it do Americans have, and how do they get it? And, even more fundamentally, does it matter?

Catch ‘Your Weekly Constitutional’ with Stewart Harris on WETS-FM, 89.5, Sundays at 3pm and Tuesdays at 8pm.
