Kingsport police: Pair used cloned debit card at local store

KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) – The Kingsport Police Department needs your help finding two people who used another person’s debit card account to make a purchase at a local store.

Investigators says on August 4, 2016, two suspects used stolen debit card information to make a purchase of $207 at the T.J. Maxx store located at 2003 North Eastman Road in Kingsport.

Police say the suspects were able to clone the credit card because the original card was still in the victim’s possession.

Investigators were able to retrieve a surveillance photo from the scene that shows the two people in question.
