TRI-CITIES (WJHL) – A man who escaped a Tri-Cities jail and was captured in Michigan was sentenced for crimes committed there Tuesday.
Timothy England escaped the Washington County, Tennessee jail in August, sparking a region-wide manhunt.
He was found in Michigan about a week later.
England pleaded guilty in October to five charges, including resisting and obstructing a police officer and stolen property. Today, he was sentenced to a minimum of two years and a maximum of ten years in prison on each count.
No word yet on when he could be returned to answer to charges here.
