A Knoxville man is behind bars on attempted murder charges

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A Knoxville man was arrested Wednesday night on attempted murder charges.

Mitchell Paul Conard, 38, was taken into custody around 7:10 p.m.

He was charged with attempted second degree murder and reckless endangerment after an investigation was conducted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Family Crisis Unit.

A news release from the sheriff’s office did not specify what alleged actions led to Conard’s charges.

Conrad has a criminal history that includes public intoxication, evading arrest, traffic offenses, robbery and aggravated assault.

He is held on $125,000 bond.
