CARTER COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Anthony Lacy, accused of attempting to kill a Carter County jailer while he awaited trial on a murder charge, was convicted of lesser charges in connection to the incident with the jailer.
Lacy was charged with attempted second-degree murder after an assault on a jailer at the Carter County jail. His trial on that case began Monday and ended Tuesday with jury convictions on charges of reckless endangerment and aggravated assault.
Lacy faces another trial on Monday a separate assault case.
His murder trial for the 2014 death Roan Mountain resident Danny Vance is scheduled for March 20, 2017. Lacy faces the death penalty in that case.
