WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – The man who has been the face of the United Way of Washington County, Tenn. for over a decade announced Monday that he will be retiring at the end of the year.
Lester Lattany has served as president and CEO of the local United Way chapter for the last 14 years.
Lattany said Monday his last day on the job will be Dec. 31.
During his tenure with the United Way, over $25 million dollars were raised to help local charitable organizations.
Lattany said his work is not done yet. He hopes to help the chapter raise an additional $1.725 million dollars before his retirement.
