WASHINGTON COUNTY, VA (WJHL) – Washington County, Va. Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a shooting Monday night where one person was injured.
According to a WCVASO news release, a call came into dispatch around 9 p.m. from a woman who said a shooting had happened at a home on Safari Drive.
Sheriff’s Office officials said it appears as though one person was shot at the home and was taken by helicopter to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment.
According to the release, no suspects are in custody at this time and said they do not believe this was a random shooting as the victim knew the suspect.
