Kingsport man facing multiple charges after assaulting JCPD officer

JOHNSON CITY TN (WJHL) – A Kingsport man is facing multiple charges after he assaulted a Johnson city police officer.

27-year-old Bryce Greene is facing charges of simple assault, felony vandalism, and public intoxication.

According to  JCPD Greene was harassing a store clerk inside “Road Runner Market” on North State of Franklin road.

An officer arrived on  the scene  to find Greene leaving the market, Greene then opened the passenger side door of the police car and assaulted the officer inside.

During the incident video equipment inside the police car was also damaged.

Greene is currently in the Washington county detention center where he is being held on a $10,000 bond.
