WASHINGTON COUNTY, VA (WJHL) – Washington County, Va. Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a woman who stabbed a man with a hunting knife while engaging in sexual relations.
According to Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman, deputies responded to Quick-Stop, 15324 Lee Highway in Bristol, Va., on Oct. 13, where they made contact with a man who said he and Bonnie Ann Mumpower — also known as Bonnie Ann Stevens — were having sex when she pulled out a hunting knife and stabbed him in the neck.
The man told deputies he left the home and went to the Quick-Stop for help.
According to the release, emergency crews responded to the convenience store and treated the man for a severe stab wound before he was taken to Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Mumpower, 42, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and assault.
She was taken to the Southwest Regional Jail in Abingdon, Va., where she was being held without bond.
“Based on the investigation and victim’s statement, it appears this was a consensual encounter that could have potentially turned deadly,” Newman said.
