GREENEVILLE, TN (WJHL) – Tasty cuisine and bluegrass tunes are combining once again for the second annual Barbecue and Bluegrass Festival in Greeneville Saturday October 22.
Capitol Theatre Manager and Festival Organizer Rhonda Humbert told News Channel 11, this year organizers are hoping a couple thousand people will attend.
“Last year we probably ran about 1,000 to 1,500. But it was our first year and we are competing with other festivals but hey, we’re all about it,” said Humbert.
Humbert said last year, food vendors ran out of food, so organizers added a few additional food options.
Humbert said there will be plenty of free activities for kids and several musical acts including Carson Peters and Icy Holler.
Festival registration begins Friday afternoon at 4:00.
