LAS VEGAS (AP) – The Republican National Committee says it will accept the results of the general election even if Donald Trump doesn’t.
RNC spokesman Sean Spicer says, “We’re going to respect the will of the people.”
During Thursday night’s presidential debate, Trump refused to say whether he would concede if he loses the general election, saying in part ” I’ll look at it at the time . . . I will tell you at the time, I’ll keep you in suspense.”
GOP senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina who has refused to back Trump during the election season, said in a statement that the Republican nominee was “doing the party and country a great disservice by continuing to suggest the outcome of this election is out of his hands and ‘rigged’ against him.
she went further on to say that If Trump loses, it will not be because the system is ‘rigged’ but because he failed as a candidate.”
The Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8th
