(WJHL) – A man who escaped from a Tri-Cities jail and sparked a multi-state manhunt before being captured in Michigan pleaded guilty to several charges.
We contacted the Oakland County Clerk’s Office in Michigan Wednesday. They said Timothy England pleaded guilty to five charges, which include resisting and obstructing a police officer and stolen property.
England was scheduled to be sentenced on those charges Nov. 1.
England escaped from the Washington County Detention Center back in August, which launched a more than week-long manhunt across the region.
He was awaiting trial on bank robbery charges.
We also reached out to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office , where we learned England will return to the Tri-Cities to face charges here. A date of when England will be back in the Tri-Cities has yet to be determined.
