3rd annual Zombie 3K fun run in Johnson City benefits local food bank

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL)- People who participated in the 3K Zombie fun run Saturday morning had a little extra pep in their step as they were being chased by zombies throughout the course.

All along the trail, people dressed as zombies were hiding out trying to steal flags from runners, and give them a little extra scare.

The race was hosted by students from ETSU’s Department of Physical Therapy.

“We are as physical therapy students, and physical therapists, all about you know physical activity, it’s a great way to get the community out and moving and its for a great cause,” Megan Morton said.

This year, all proceeds from the event will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.
