Three-star senior offensive lineman Jordan Tucker of Roswell (Ga.) High School announced Thursday on his Twitter account that he has decommitted from Tennessee.
The 6-foot-7, 335-pound Tucker had been committed to the Vols for nearly four months. He was one of only two offensive-line commitments in their 2017 class, along with three-star prospect Riley Locklear of Huntington, W.Va.
“With a lot of thought and prayer and talking with my family and coaches I am de-committing from Tennessee. I want to thank Coach Mahoney, Coach G, and Vol Nation for recruiting me,” he wrote in a note that he posted on his Twitter account, referring to Tennessee offensive line coach Don Mahoney and running backs coach Robert Gillespie.
“Tennessee is still in my top schools to choose from. I feel that I need more time to go through this process and really narrow down my choices to where I plan on spending the next 4 years of my life.”
Tucker has received scholarship offers from more than a dozen schools, including Louisville, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina and South Carolina. He’s ranked the nation’s No. 693 overall prospect and No. 74 offensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite for the 2017 class.
