JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – Johnson City officials are asking drivers to avoid North Roan Street at the I-26 interchange while repairs are made to a broken waterline. Crews are on the scene working to repair the break.
Drivers should be cautious if traveling through the area of North Roan Street and Springbrook Drive as workers are on the side of the road working to repair the break.
The city released this statement Tuesday morning:
“The repair is expected to take most of the day. For now, the only lane of traffic affected is the merging lane from I-26 West onto southbound North Roan Street (Exit 20A). Drivers are asked to avoid that exit.”
This is the exit ramp that takes you into the direction of the mall and other shopping.
