Washington County Animal Shelter cuts ribbon on cat condo complex

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – Monday evening officials with the Washington County Animal Shelter officially cut the ribbon on the recently named “Fred Warren Cat Condo Complex”.

cat-condo-complex-1Fred Warren, who is the ETSU men’s golf coach, was a major supporter of the condo endeavor and said the way that you treat your animals as a community says a lot about the people who live there.

“I care for animals. I think how a community treats its animals is important, especially dogs and cats who bring so much joy to our lives”, said Warren.

Warren donated $30,000 dollars to dedicated living space for the feline population at the shelter while it was being built.cat-condo-complex

Warren added, “Going in there to see the joy that these cats and dogs bring to people is rewarding.”

They are open from 1-6 pm Monday through Sunday.

The shelter is located at 3411 North Roan Street and you can reach them by phone at (423) 926-8769.
