SEOUL, South Korea (CNN/AP) – Samsung Galaxy Note 7 continues to have problems. Samsung has temporarily suspended its production.

Samsung Electronics says it’s adjusting Galaxy Note 7 production to ensure safety following reports that replacements for the fire-prone phones were also overheating.

But today’s statement by Samsung did not confirm reports by the South Korea’s Yonhap news agency that production of the Note 7 was being temporarily halted.

U.S. phone retailers AT&T and T-Mobile have decided to stop giving new Note 7 replacement smartphones to consumers.

Samsung officially recalled the phones last month, blaming batteries. But recently customers reported replacement phones have also caught fire. Last week, Verizon and Sprint said they would exchange the Galaxy Note 7 for other smart phones.
