Most Wanted: police say check-out scam artists hit Kingsport Wal-Mart

Kingsport, TN (WJHL)  — Police call them “quick change” scam artists who have Kingsport in their cross-hairs.

Monday’s Most Wanted are two men who police say ripped off a cashier at least once in the past few months.

On August 28th, two men went through the check-out line at Wal-Mart on West Stone Drive.

While one of them distracted the cashier, police say the other made a purchase and tricked the clerk into give him $900 in change, money he actually wasn’t due.

After getting the cash, they left in a while full-size conversion van.
