ELIZABETHTON, TN (WJHL)- It was colorful weekend for the Sycamore Stitchers, an Elizabethton based group of artists.
Dozens gathered at the Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park for the fourth and final day of the 22nd annual quilt show.
Over 50 quilts were on display, varying from modern to more vintage styles.
The president of the Sycamore Stitchers President Kathleen Peterkin said it’s a hobby she hopes to see live on for generations.
“Many of us are retirees so we are trying to encourage the younger people to get interested in the art and so that we can carry it on. We enjoy it we love to see the community and we hope that everybody enjoys it as well,” Peterkin said.
The show is judged by the public and the winners get ribbons for their work.
