NEW YORK (AP) – Senator John McCain withdrew his support from Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump, in light of comments leaked Friday regarding women.

McCain is one of many republicans who have stepped away from supporting Trump, the 2008 republican presidential nominee  in part said “I have wanted to support the candidate our party nominated . . . but Donald Trump’s behavior this week, concluding with the disclosure of his demeaning comments about women and his boasts about sexual assaults, make it impossible to continue to offer even conditional support for his candidacy.”

Some within the GOP are even calling on Trump to quit his bid for the white house or allow his running mate Mike Pence to campaign.

A defiant Trump said in a tweet “The media and establishment want me out of the race so badly, I will never drop out of the race.”

Trump and Clinton are both scheduled to appear at Washington University in St. Louis for the second round of Presidential debates.
