EMORY, VA (WJHL) – Friday Emory and Henry College broke ground on a $12.5 million dollar on-campus housing project.
Construction will soon begin on eight new residence halls – six of those will be apartment-style – and a community center.
Those will join two existing residence halls in the area known as The Village.
Emory and Henry said the designs will closely match other buildings on campus.
Completion for the project is scheduled for fall 2017.
The school also hosted a ribbon cutting for its new horse retirement facility, and Saturday it will dedicate its marching band building.
