SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – A man accused of killing three family members got a new trial date this morning.
Sullivan County Attorney General Barry Staubus said defense for Robert Denton made a motion for a new trial date in order to better prepare for the case.
Denton is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the August 2015 killings of his mother, step-father and grandmother at a home on Henson Road in Bristol, Tenn.
He was originally scheduled to stand trial Oct. 24.
His new trial date is July 17, 2017.
