“Over the last several days we saw a great number of parents and school children who had become very concerned over the various threats they saw on this accounty,” Heatley said.

TCSO and BCSO arrested a male juvenile Thursday. The juvenile is facing a felony charge for communicating threats to harm someone on school grounds.

The juvenile’s computers and cellphones were seized during a search of his home, but deputies did not find any weapons.

“I am very proud of the hard work that both teams of investigators performed to make the arrest and to help ease the minds of our parents,” Sheriff Brian Hieatt said. “Even though there are other ‘Clown threats’ going on around the United States, this one was hitting close to home. Despite these hoaxes, we want parents to know that their children are still safe in our schools and communities.”
