HAWKINS COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened in Surgoinsville Wednesday afternoon.
According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, a Chevrolet Impala driven by Jerome Spaulding, of Surgoinsville, was traveling east on State Route 346/Main Street, and a Kia Soul, driven by Sharon Sillery, of Surgoinsville, was traveling west on the road.
The THP report said that the Impala reportedly crossed the double yellow line hitting the Kia Soul head-on.
Both Spaulding and Sillery were injured in the crash and were taken to Holston Valley Medical Center for treatment.
According to THP, the cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
Both drivers were reportedly wearing their seat belts.
According to the report, charges are pending against Spaulding.
