Two flights cancelled at TRI due to Hurricane Matthew; passengers urged to check travel status

TRI-CITIES, TN (WJHL) – Tri-Cities Airport officials confirmed that local flights are being impacted due to Hurricane Matthew.

According to Kristi Haulsee, director of Marketing and Air Service Development with Tri-Cities Airport Authority, the airport was notified Wednesday that Allegiant flight 646 from Orlando/Sanford to TRI, and flight 647 from TRI to Orlando/Sanford have been cancelled for Thursday, Oct. 6.

Haulsee said Allegiant officials said they would be contacting affected passengers by email.

Passengers also traveling American Airlines or Delta Air Lines will need to check the status of their flight with the airline, according to Haulsee.
