WCSO: Two Greene Co. men charged in tractor theft

WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested two Greene County man last week following an indictment by a Washington County grand jury.

According to a WCSO news release, presentment warrants were issued on Luke E. Jennings, 23, of Chuckey, and Justin D. Taylor, 22, of Greeneville, charging each man with one count of burglary and felony theft after stealing a Kubota tractor.

The tractor was reportedly inside a farm located in the Limestone community of Washington County.

A joint investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office led deputies to Jennings and Taylor.

The tractor was recovered in an area in Greene County, where it had been spray painted in an attempt to come up the tractor as the stolen property.

Jennings and Taylor were arrested on Sept. 29 and were released on $10,000 bond.

According to the release, both men were scheduled for arraignment in Criminal Court on Nov. 28 at 8 a.m.
