JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – The East Tennessee State University Buccaneers football team will host Chattanooga Saturday at Kermit Tipton Stadium starting at noon.
According to an ETSU news release, Chattanooga leads the all-time series, 20-18-1, but the Bucs beat the Mocs in their last meeting back on Nov. 15, 2003, 68-7.
The Bucs have so far defeated Kennesaw State and won against Western Carolina at Bristol Motor Speedway, but lost against Wofford last Saturday, 31-0, in Spartanburg, S.C.
Prior to Saturday’s game, the Buc Walk will take place at 10:15 a.m., and the Food City Zone — a family-friendly tailgating area — will open at 9 a.m.
Parking for the game near the stadium will open at 7 a.m. for tailgating and gates will open at 10 a.m.
According to the news release, Farm Bureau Insurance and the American Cancer Society are sponsoring the game, and fans are encouraged to wear pink to show their support in the fight against cancer.
