One man taken to hospital after stabbing incident in Damascus, Virginia

DAMASCUS, VA (WJHL) – The Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing in Damascus.

Sheriff Fred Newman said the stabbing happened around 8:40 Thursday night in the 21000 block of Monroe Road.

A male victim was taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.

Officers arrested a male suspect and charged him with being drunk in public.

Sheriff Newman said additional charges are pending and he would release more information Friday.
