CARTER COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Carter County Sheriff’s Office deputies are currently searching for a 61-year-old man who went missing Tuesday.
According to a CCSO news release, family members of Bobby Joe Russell said he had not been seen since Tuesday around 10 a.m. and said they were concerned for his well-being.
Family members told the sheriff’s office that Russell has multiple medical issues, including heart problems, health problems related to diabetes and said he is also dependent upon medical oxygen, which Russell’s nephew Chris Russell said he only had a two-hour supply of when he left.
“We don’t know if he’s run off the road somewhere or just sitting in a parking lot having a medical issue somewhere we just don’t know what happened. It’s just vital that we find him because he’s important to us,” Russell said.
His family is searching all over the region and even out of state.
Russell is described as being 5-foot-9-inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds.
He has graying brown hair and green eyes.
Russell drives a 1997 Red Honda Civic with a Tennessee registration of 852 WZT.
Anyone with information on Russell’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 543-2211.
