ALDERSON, WV (WJHL) – A former executive for Bristol Virginia Utilities has reported to prison.
News Channel 11 spoke with officials with the Federal Bureau of Prisons who said Stacey Pomrenke has reported to prison in Alderson, West Virginia.
Pomrenke was found guilty of corruption charges in connection to an investigation involving BVU.
Those charges include tax fraud, conspiracy and bribery.
Prosecutors say Pomrenke asked for gifts from businesses and gifts for some BVU employees without reporting it to the IRS.
The former BVU Chief Financial Officer was sentenced to 34-months in federal prison at Camp Alderson.
Pomrenke was ordered to pay around $60,000 in fines, restitution and forfeitures.
As of 7 p.m. Monday night, the Federal Bureau of Prisons website said Pomrenke was not in BOP custody but officials told News Channel 11 the website had not been updated.
