TAZEWELL COUNTY, VA (WJHL) – The Tazewell County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office says it has received multiple reports of clown sightings.

The Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page Tuesday night that no clowns have been caught but they are warning people that they should think twice before dressing as a clown and showing up on someone’s property uninvited.

The Sheriff’s Office says if anyone is caught, they will be charged and people who make phony clown calls will also be charged.

Officers say they have received reports of clowns being on people’s porches and in the bushes.

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee also investigated a report of a clown sighting at Poplar Ridge apartments.

Officers searched but could not find any evidence of clowns.
