Kingport police: Men caught on camera using stolen credit card at Walgreens; Purchases totaled $1500

KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) – The Kingport Police Department needs your help finding two men who were captured on surveillance video using a woman’s credit card that was stolen from her wallet during an auto burglary.

The woman’s car was parked at the YMCA located at 1840 Meadowview Parkway in Kingsport. The burglary occurred sometime around 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on September 8.

That same evening, the car was used to make three purchases at Walgreens located at 2790 East Stone Drive. The purchases, according to police, were only made “just minutes apart” and totaled $1500.

Police were able to retrieve surveillance photos of the suspects. Anyone who recognizes the men is asked to call the Kingpsort Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
