HONOR FLIGHT

JOHNSON CITY (WJHL) — An event to help fly and bus American war veterans to the nation’s capitol is happening in the Tri-Cities.

The organization called Honor Flight of Northeast Tennessee takes veterans– especially World War II veterans– to see memorials dedicated to them for their service. In order to provide this free service for veterans, the Honor Flight will host a benefit breakfast.

The breakfast is Saturday, September 17 at Central Church of Christ on Oakland Avenue in Johnson City.

The event will last from 8 o’clock in the morning until noon. Donations will be accepted at the door.
